When I first started looking into selling my condominium a year and a half ago I found a local real estate agent who said he had the experience and team to help me with this, but that sure wasn’t the case. And while I was finding this out I made an even bigger mistake by contacting Monarch Realty Partners about selling the whole building and converting the part condo part apartment building back into an apartment building. This didn’t work out either, as they lacked the integrity and/or experience to tell the difference between a potential buyer who had just sold some property and was ready to buy more from one who needed to sell something first. I started looking for a real estate agent who had the experience, integrity and team to sell my place and finally found it the third time when I contacted Debbie Geveras. She and her team were able to help from start to finish, and was especially helpful in getting the mortgage company to process the paperwork needed to finish the sale. Upon completion of the customer survey, I came to realize that the space provided was not nearly BIG enough to communicate all we wanted about the service received by our agent, Debbie Geavaras. From the time our "short sale" process started until the time is was completed, we never received anything but the utmost care and attention. Debbie was extremely thorough in explaining documents, terms, conditions, and procedures. She thoroughly answered every question we had. At no time did we feel we were being taken advantage of or in the dark about what was going on. She regularly kept us posted on the status of our home. She left phone messages, sent emails and stopped by our house. She was very helpful assisting in the sending of faxes. She was the BRIGHT SPOT in a seemingly unfortunate situation. I moved to Charleston, SC for employment in 2010 and leased my condo for almost six years. I tried to sell the condo for a while, realized the value of the property was well below the mortgage balance (no good offers) and tried a short-sale but the bank wanted an exorbitant amount of money from me so that didn't work. The attorney I was using suggested stopping all payments and letting the property go into foreclosure. I found out that wasn't a feasible option for me but didn't know what to do. I received a letter from Debbie (out of the blue) stating she specialized in short sales. I initially put the letter in the recycle bin but I decided to call her Baird and Warner office to find out if this was for real. Guess what? It was, and I contacted Debbie. We discussed my situation, she gave me financial advice and everything I needed to do in order to secure a short sale with the bank. In a matter of months, we had a buyer with a very good offer, Debbie and her team presented all information to the bank and they accepted the offer with no outlay of cash from me. What a surprise.
